Kodacolor II was the first of a new generation of Kodak color negative films using the C-41 process.It was designed as a major improvement to meet the needs of the small 13×17 mm negatives used in 110 film for the Kodak Pocket Instamatic cameras. Believe it or not, I have some Kodacolor negatives from the early 60s with the film numbers correctly oriented when you look at the film from the emulsion side. I don't know if they did this on purpose or it was just a mistake in a production run, but it seems to have persisted for over a year.
